Burnwe’s Video Marketing Guide I Get Some Hints From Our Co-founder
Why is it important to have a video marketing guide and find right, unique approaches to your customers?
How to keep up with the growing fast pace of the digital world and not get lost there? Well, for years Burnwe team has been constantly proving that only by forming
- a strong company structure and culture
- having the ability to effectively communicate with customers
- and providing high quality services based on the trendy production tools and marketing approaches
one can truly be successful and stand out among other companies in the field.
Today we’ve decided to share some useful expertise-based hints and advice right by Burnwe Co-founder, production team lead Rob Gevorgyan.
- Rob, let’s start from a general, important question. Why should people use video content at all?
- Well, in this digital era, the processes of getting information grow quite fast day by day becoming even easier. If there were times when people could read simple books, now they can easily listen to them by audiobooks. We can say the same about social media, and in its terms, video has proven to be the primary type of content that helps keep up with this digital speed and digest the huge flow of information much more easily. So in this sense, video content is automatically improving its positions being in high demand because visual perception is quite strong.
- As for you, what are those key points you find trendy about digital videos nowadays?
- There is an important point I would like to mention in terms of being trendy. Digital videos should be different in sizes when used for different social platforms, i.e highly matching those platforms with certain sizes. It’s something we pay attention to really much during our work processes. Overall, I also noticed that people like videos with some emotions, let’s say human touch. Maybe it’s a cool promo video with super effects, popular actors or influencers involved, but it may not work well because of the lack of the ‘’so-called’’ human touch. Instead, a simple video where your company owner speaks and gives the right message can go viral. It’s because people are sometimes getting really tired of direct ads. Another point I would like to highlight is that people also like series, small episodes making them wait for the next one. Just like TV shows, it can be used for companies, for example, those HR videos week by week revealing and demonstrating company life, team or bite-sized motion graphic videos used on different social platforms. It brings the audience closer to the company culture and becomes greatly interesting for them.
- Shifting to an important topic, what’s your formula of successful collaboration with customers? How do you start the process with them?
- First, we always communicate to our potential clients on each stage and understand their business overall. We’re grabbing as much information as possible, even those small pieces that won’t be used in the video but are essential for us to be fully integrated in the business, product or service. Then comes the most important question; what’s the goal, why do they want to get through that video. We take everything that can be necessary for the final desired result. Then we organize internal team meetings and understand how we can strategically reach the given goal. We come up with a comprehensive offer based on a thorough strategy and discuss it with the client. After coming to an agreement, we unite our efforts and create something really different.
- What are those important factors that make your work style with clients unique?
- The first one is an individual approach. This word is so popular, many people and companies use it but I doubt most of them don’t truly understand the core idea that lies behind. We’re sure, first of all our customers should feel our dedication because it’s not just about doing a job, it’s about commitment. And the second one is of course, high-quality final product. You can be good and caring, communicate on the highest level but let’s not forget why they came to you. Judging from the feedback we get from our clients, we cope with that part successfully. Besides, we always do something extra. We don’t tell them and maybe they even don’t notice, but we do that showing our appreciation towards our clients for collaborating with us. For example, we agree on making a full HD video but we give them 2K or 4K videos. It’s just like a small gift.
- What refers to the production processes, what are the most popular and best programmes you use with your team? What are your recommendations to those who want to experiment?
- Two of the most wide-spread and highly professional programmes we use are Adobe After Effects and DaVinci Resolve. After Effects is a bit for narrow specification because of a different interface and deeper tools. It’s more used for animation and motion graphics but when we have more live-action shots, it’s likely to use DaVinci Resolve. It has quite a wide scope of tools. There is also another good programme that can relatively be okay for beginners. It’s Adobe Premiere Pro that is a good match, if you’re a travel, food or beauty vlogger. Anyway, if you want to get started with video making or even specializing in this industry, whatever you create, should be approached also from the marketing aspect, i.e understanding and seeing your content through viewers’ eyes. So, times require you to be a bit into marketing even if you’re not a marketing specialist. It’s just for you to have good results.
- Talking about the team you lead, what features do you primarily appreciate in your teammates?
- First and foremost, anyone who joins our team should be proactive and goal-oriented. I mean what is important for me is that they come up with different suggestions and ideas so that we see high motivation. Striving to gain knowledge, improve themselves and grow. We put special emphasis on personal, soft skills because from the professional aspect, we’re sure we can put much effort to help them grow and reach some decent level. In other words, we need people whose current piece of work will be better than the previous one.
- For the closing point, what will be your message to those who want to get started with video marketing?
- For that, I’d like to highlight just one important point. You should primarily know that just having a video is not enough to meet the marketing goals of your business. Your video should be approached from a thorough marketing aspect. So for this part, if you want to learn more, you can check our vlog which is devoted to this specific topic. And in case of questions, just drop us a message.
